Acceptable use policy

TexPass only works if buyers can trust what's on a passport. This page says what isn't allowed, what we do about it and how to report a passport.

Last updated 3 Oct 2026

1.What TexPass is for

Publishing true details about your fabric lots, with your own certificates and reports or your suppliers' documents shown as theirs, and sharing them with buyers.

2.What isn't allowed

  • Forged, altered or fake certificates, transaction certificates or test reports.
  • Someone else's documents shown as yours.
  • False claims about fabric, for example calling it organic or tested without proof.
  • Pretending to be another company or person.
  • Illegal content, or content that harasses or threatens anyone.
  • Uploading malware or files meant to harm others.
  • Scraping, overloading or trying to break into TexPass, or getting around its security.

3.What we do about it

When we find or are told about a problem, we may:

  • review the item and mark it under review in the owner's view,
  • ask the owner for proof,
  • remove the item or withdraw the passport,
  • suspend or close the account,
  • tell the certification body concerned, or the authorities where the law requires it

A withdrawn passport's link shows that it was withdrawn; the code is never reused.

4.How to report a passport

  1. Note the passport code (the 6 characters printed under the QR code) or copy its link.
  2. Write to us from the contact page or to the grievance contact on the grievance page.
  3. Say what is wrong and attach any proof (for example a message from the certification body).

We acknowledge reports and decide as quickly as we can. The passport owner can respond before we decide, unless the problem is serious enough to act at once.

5.Taking down your own content

You can remove a document or withdraw a passport yourself at any time from the app. Earlier published versions stay in the passport's history so changes stay traceable.

TexPass is not a lab or a certification body. Accredited labs issue test reports and certification bodies issue certificates; TexPass coordinates tests and checks certificates on official registries.
